We have just released a selection of stunning new wines from Della Fay Winery. Della Fay is a Boutique winery located in the heart of Margaret River. Not surprisingly Della Fay’s Margaret River Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are both excellent. They also have a brilliant Shiraz, Nebbiolo and a wonderful Vermentino which will delight any Riesling drinkers out there.

To get started you might like to buy a tasting 6 pack of Della Fay wines for $189. The tasting pack contains 1 bottle each of the 2012 Vermentino, 2013 Chardonnay, 2012 Nebbiolo, 2011 Reserve Shiraz and 2 bottles of the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon.

Wine Connect tasting notes:

The Vermentino has a pale green colour. The nose has slight floral notes and lifted sweet fruit aromatics. The palate is fine with beautiful tropical fruit flavours followed by a dry crisp acidity. This is a wine that will appeal to lovers of Riesling and it will grow in complexity with further cellaring.
Food Pairing; Seafood, oysters, pasta with a creamy sauce.
This wine has a beautiful green / yellow colour. Peachy stone fruit aromas jump out of the glass and they are complimented by the very attractive and well used French oak. The palate is soft and silky with intense fruit and a long flavoursome finish with balanced acidity. This is a beautiful chardonnay showing an abundance of elegance and finesse.
Food Pairing; Lobster, Poultry. Anti pasta.
Despite being four years old, this wine has a youthful purple hue. There are savoury notes on the nose rather than the typical sweet plummy aromas we often see with Australian Shiraz. The palate is balanced and lifted with elegant fine fruit flavours more reminiscent of a cool climate Shiraz.
Food Pairing; Butter flied leg of lamb. Game dishes such as Venison or pheasant.
Brick cherry red in colour with cherry/ plum star anise aromas and a slight toasty oak nuance. The palate has soft sweet fruit across the front and mid palate with very dry tannins and a lovely savoury finish. Excellent length. Youthful with a long way to go.
Food Pairing. Lasagne, Duck Ragu slow cooked lamb.
The colour is a deep cherry red. The bouquet shows a lovely blend of subtle French oak combined with a touch of herbaceous Cabernet aromas combined with briary blackberry fruit. The palate has clean intense rich fruit with tremendous length and lovely fine tannins on the finish.
Food. BBQ’d Beef / Lamb, blue cheese.
